  • HTV (High temperature vulcanizing rubber) is used for insulators
  • RTV (room temp. vulcanizing) is used for protective coating.
  •  RTV & LSR are used for apparatus housing

Methods Of Processing

  • Casting (RTV-2 silicon rubber & Low viscosity liquid rubber)
  •  Injection moulding (solid rubber HTV and liquid rubber)
  •  Compression moulding (suitable for solid rubber)
  • Extrusion (for sheathing FRP rods and tubes)
